Jim is an Australian ex-pat who lives in Vietnam full-time, for direct day-to-day involvement in all aspects of the factory’s production. This adds certainty to product supply and a control on quality that can be otherwise difficult to find in Vietnam. Jim’s fishing tackle industry history spans decades and includes extensive experience as National Sales Manager at one of Australia’s largest fishing tackle companies, plus years behind the counter as a tackle retail manager. Jim’s industry experience is strengthened further by an in-depth practical knowledge of fishing tackle and how it is used, gained through a lifetime of recreational fishing plus experience as a commercial snapper fisherman for many years. Jim’s influence on the quality and practical designs produced by Geoson, combined with the lower manufacturing costs in Vietnam, has created a flexible and unique sourcing option in Asia.

The Geoson factory has a team of 140 employees working across product categories such as netting, crab pots, bait traps, landing nets, cast nets, ropes and other assorted netting fishing accessories, plus gaffs, tackle boxes, fishing rods, marine accessories, rigs, terminal tackle and general fishing accessories.

The Geoson’s network of local Vietnamese suppliers has been developed over a decade of operation in the area and opens access to many other sourcing opportunities for your business.
